- Take 1 tsp kasuri methi
- Take For Whole garam masala:
- Take 4 cloves
- Prepare 1 black cardamom
- Prepare 2 bay leaves
- Prepare 1 cinnamon stick
Instructions to make Paneer Biryani in pressure cooker:
- Marinate paneer with the ingredients given in the 'To marinate' section for 30 minutes.
- Wash the basmati rice thoroughly with water for 4 to 5 times. Soak it in water for 20 minutes.
- Chop onion,tomato,green chillies,mint and coriander leaves.Make ginger garlic paste.
- In a cooker add oil and ghee. To it add the whole garam masala spices given in above section.
- Add chopped onion and green chillies.once the onion is cooked add the ginger garlic paste and saute untill the raw smell of ginger garlic goes away.
- Add the chopped tomatoes,mint leaves and coriander leaves. Saute it until the tomatoes are cooked well.
- Add turmeric powder,Biryani masala and garam masala and add little water so that the spices does not burn.
- Add the marinated paneer to the cooker and give a quick stir
- Add 2 1/4 cups of water and required salt. Once the water boils add the soaked rice. Close the cooker lid and put on the whistle. Keep it on low flame and cook exactly for 10 minutes and switch off the flame.
- Wait for 10 more minutes before opening the cooker.Use a fork to flip up the rice.
- Tasty paneer Biryani is ready.
