The ingredients needed to make Halva:
- Take 1 cup sugar
- Take 1 cup flour
- Get 1 1/4 cup water
- Prepare 1/2 cup canola oil
- Get 5 tbsp rose water
- Take 1/4 tsp safran
Instructions to make Halva:
- Mix safran and one tablespoon of sugar. Crush the sarfan into the sugar.
- Add 1/4 a cup of boiling water to the safran sugar mix. Mix well.
- Start to boil water in a pot.
- Meanwhile, put the flour in a pan on medium/high heat. Stir constantly.
- Once the water in the pot has boiled, add remaining sugar, sarfan mix, and rose water. Stir constantly until everything is thoroughly mixed. Then turn off heat.
- Once flour is golden in pan, add canola oil and mix well.
- VERY CAREFULLY add the pot mixture to the pan.
- Mix well and keep pan moving by giggling it around in the air.
- Once completely mixed, put on plant and flatten. Either serve hot, or cool it in the fridge and serve cooled.
